To Jack Hirschfeld:

Enjoyed reading your thoughts on leadership. It seems to me you are the
ability to lead resides in all of us, it just needs to be developed.

I have come around to the following thoughts on leadership in general.
Successful leadership can be viewed as a triangle, or pyramid. The sides
are defining purpose (vision), securing essential effort (teambuilding)
and the third leg is a system (or systems) of communication. The sides of
the pyramid are held together by mortar (mortar consists of positive
expectancy and enthusiasm). At the base (or inside) of the pyramid is
commitment to action. I have thought about this six ways from Sunday and
I can't think of a situation I have observed, studied or read about that
doesn't fit this paradigm

What you think ?
