My name is Pete Heineman. I am the Manager of Contract Training
for the University of Nebraska at Omaha's College of Continuing
Studies. What I do is brocker customized on-site training,
retraining and professional development programs developed by
faculty and private consultants who work with the University.
Subject areas include:
Cultural Diversity Customer Service
Corporate Wellness Human Resource Development
ISO Sales and Marketing
Harassment Information Technology
Industrial Operations Leadership & Supervisory
Total Quality
I am presently completing an Education Doctorate at Drake
University where my area of specialization is adult education. My
dissertation, and principle area of interest, focuses on temperament
preference and its cognitive implications--which will become evident
in the content of future postings. I have coauthored the text,
"Strategies for Adult Instruction and Learning" and the "PACE
Temperament Preferece Sorter Indicator" (THIS IS NOT A PLUG).
I became interested in this newsgroup after reading the Fifth
Discipline and attending the satellite conference on the learning
organization by Peter Senge. The message seemed to complement my
personal values of stewardship (to use Peter Block's term), and
servant leadership (to use Robert Greenleaf's and Lou Tice's term).
I look forward to being an active participant of this newsgroup
in discussions of creative tension, reflective conversations, system
thinking, etc.
