Dear Netters,

This is a CALL FOR CONTRIBUTION of a chapter to a proposed volume on
LEARNING ORGANIZATION AND PERFORMANCE. Although LO is discussed
extensively in this listserve and laid out in the Fifth Discipline and
Field Book, we still need to demonstrate to the managers that LO
contributes to the bottom line. Business executives would like see the
link between LO and firm performance (market share, profitability,
efficiency, customer service etc.) to subscribe to LO. Of course, without
commitment of top management to LO, it will be not be utilized nor
successful. I plan to edit a book, collection of various papers based on
practical experiences of authors demonstrating how LO contributed to
organizational performance.

LEARNING ORGANIZATION AND PERFORMANCE will be a source of information for
theoreticians and especially for practitioners to understand that LO is
not only an intellectual exercise but a transformational tool requiring
changes in structure and processes of organizations. It will serve the
purpose of bridging theory and practice, that is often the compaliant of
managers. Hope to hear from those who have experience and willing to
contribute. Suggestions are welcome too.

The following are some of the proposed chapter topics, but they are
not exclusive:

-FOUNDATIONS OF LO AND ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE
-SYSTEM THINKING AND APPLICATION
-ENHANCING CREATIVE THINKING AND ITS OUTCOMES
-DEVELOPING EXPERTISE FOR RESULTS
-LEADERSHIP AND SHARED VISION
-TEAM BUILDING AND PERFORMANCE
-DEVELOPING DIALOGS WITHIN ORGANIZATION
-ACCOMPLISHING GLOBAL LEARNING
-LEARNING THROUGH STRATEGIC ALLIANCES
-MANAGING AND LEARNING FROM CULTURAL DIVERSITY
-RE-STRUCTURING REWARDS IN LO
-ILLUSTRATIVE CASES
