My name is Luis Mederos. I am an engineer at NASA. My educational
background includes a BME from Georgia Tech and an MBA from the University of
Houston - Clear Lake campus.
I've worked for NASA for almost ten years, both at Johnson Space Center
(JSC) and Kennedy Space Center (KSC). At JSC, I was responsible for a
real-time SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system monitoring
several thousand "points" (sensors) throughout the center. At KSC, I've
managed contractors doing non-destructive evaluation and chemical sampling
and analysis work.
My interest is in the areas of organizational redesign (technology,
ontological reconstruction, workflow), particularly as it applies to
technical organizations.
