I'm too lazy to come up with some cool Halloween graphics. I thought I might get a chance to photograph the kids before they went out Trick-or-Treating but I didn't manage to leave work until 5:00 PM and then spent a very long time on 119 in the drizzle. The rush hour traffic was augmented by a big truck that missed a curve and ended up on the shoulder leaning to one side and losing its load of sand. As if the sand wasn't enough to stop traffic, every emergency vehicle in Groton made the scene flashing every available light. Red, blue, yellow. Quite a light show. The piece de resistance was the arrival of one of those immense tow trucks they use to tow trucks (say that 5 times fast ... if a woodchuck could chuck a tow truck a tow truck could tow a truck...).

So I mooched Halloween candy off Kevin and discussed the fine points of writing and thinking. We read that the Chips on the Planet BLOK never write anything down -- sound like software developers to me -- maybe the future geeks of America will enter the workforce at least having heard of writing things down in middle school. Needless to say I was impressed with the text book.

Alas, I decided that what with the drizzle and the traffic and my extreme fatigue, I had best not wait until the leprechaun and the big Chinese pants returned at 9:00. It is a work night after all. So I left with good intentions of early to bed and early to rise. Ha! There is the small matter of the World Series...
