Adopt these cats at Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society

Today's Reading: Kossuth in New England edited by Ralph Waldo Emerson

2001 Book List

Bald eagles soared through my dreams last night, one adult and one immature low over the Merrimack River. I carefully noted the first year plumage on the immature one. I marveled at the sun glinting off the river's ice free surface. They caught no mergansers while I watched. They wouldn't dare hurt a duck in my presence.

Bald eagles? Am I glad to be home or what?

Whoa! Stormy is back! Poor Stormy. She didn't get along with the woman's other cats. Loved the woman though, so there's hope for Stormy and people.

Sandy is still firmly in control of the big yellow bucket.

Lots and lots of cats have arrived in the past two weeks. Bianca has boo-boos on her skin from frostbite. Jasper is throwing up. Puffy wants to play. And play. And play. Re-Re has orange cat personality. Xeones has a funny name and may or may not have ringworm. See the web site for bios of these guys.

The community litter boxes are wicked dirty today.

And I have never ever been so grateful for an Angelina's veggie sub in my life. Hungarians put some kind of cream-based roux on just about all vegetables except fried cauliflower, which has no taste. Gimme those green bell peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, hot peppers to burn your mouth out, black olives, cucumber, onions, red bell peppers ....

The remainder of the day got spent on hold with Mac repair central and then, once I had the all-important RMA number, at MBE shipping the G4 off to Mac repair central. And I'm just beginning to realize my body is in a whole 'nother time zone.
