Anza-Borrego Desert/Salton Sea Bird List

March 1997

x	x	n	Anza-Borrego Desert Listed by date, in the order that I saw them. Vajrapani, Tehachapi, and Morongo Valley are places we stayed on the trip south from Boulder Creek. Yaqui Well and Culp Valley are sites within Anza Borrego Desert state park. We also stayed at Tamarisk Grove, also in the state park, but for some reason I did not write down any birds we saw there. I know we had a Gambel's quail and a California thrasher in our campsite - as well as Ana's hummingbird. I need to verify those with my trip diary (as opposed to the bird list notebook) and add them on the appropriate dates. All sightings were on the Salton Sea National Wildlife Refuge. Someday I'll add in the "unit" locations for each - the refuge is divided into numbered units. All sightings were on March 21, 1997.
