But that's not all. Among other treasures I found a ticket from Game 3 of the 1986 American League Championship Series. I wonder if I still have my ticket stub from Game 5? Now that was a baseball game! I also found a book entitled The Shaman andthe Medicine Wheel by Evelyn Eaton, which, according the receipt and bookmark tucked in the first page, I bought on July 24, 1994 at Lunaria, a feminist bookstore, in Northampton. What's interesting is that the book is a diary kept by a woman of mixed Native American and white ancestry during her training as a medicine woman. I have accumulated quite a few women's journals, but I have no recollection of why I bought this and I know I haven't read it. Today's Providence Journal has an article about the sewage overflow at Watchemocket Cove. |
