Last Wednesday, Dawna took Jaguar out on a leash.

Canada goose family eating periwinkles

Two Canada goose pairs at Watchemocket Cove hatched goslings. One family has 3 goslings and the other has 4. The family of 4 looks slightly older - like maybe they hatched a week earlier. The geese/goslings pictured were eating periwinkles. I thought Canada geese were herbivorous, but the literature does say they sometimes eat mollucs. Darn I can't get a PhD out of this "discovery".

pink flower

On Sunday, Nancy and I took a walk on the Chaypee Trail at the Lloyd Center in North Dartmouth. The wooded trail leads through an oak/hickory forest to the Slocum's River estuary. The woods were full of pink flowers. And mosquitos.

bones at the lloyd center

Today at the cat shelter, I told Roberta about the whale bones we saw at the Lloyd Center on Sunday and promised her a picture.
