On the occasion of the funeral of our Uncle Dan in January 2000, my cousin-the-historian cooked up a family history project. Each member of our parents' generation is being profiled by one of the cousins. All the profiles will be photocopied and collated. A loose-leaf "book" will be returned to each contributing author.
Constructive feedback welcome. I want my profiles to be comprehensible even to people who never knew George R. Casey. I've written three complementary profiles, any one of which would be suitable for the family history project in all respects except length. Only Profile #1 meets the stringent 600-word limit, so that makes my decision of which to submit easy.
Links to Profile #1 are last. I figure most people visiting this page will have already seen Profile #1 on paper. Let Profiles #2 & #3 have a little sun:

In 1970 Aunt Mona came across this picture and said, "George told a joke." Dad said, "And Eva (and Jeannie) didn't get it!"

The Gold Standard (i.e. the corresponding Word doc) had two embedded pictures. The picture that would not conform easily to the miracle of html frames is The 4 of us in 1947.
I put some photos of my newfound half-brother Ed in my 2019 Christmas card.
Here's a sample,
