This photo shows the Norfolk airport from about one mile south of the field.

A group of pilots that formerly flew out of Norfolk airport started negotiating with the owner to see if we could reopen the field as a private club.

As of November 10, 2002, we're still in negotiation about the lease. But, planes may be based at Norfolk again in the near future.

Here's, lovely, downtown Norfolk. The place Joanne and I have called home since July of 1982.

This is our neighborhood in Norfolk. Mann Pond is in the foreground and Highland Lake in the back.

We were told by a long time resident, that there used to be a nightclub on Highland Lake back in the thirties.

As you can see, there's lots of trees. There's a nice combination of both hardwoods and pines. And, indeed, we get lots of color in the fall.
