Mansfield Airport

Mansfield airport is a treasure to the surrounding area.

The main FBO and pilot school is run by David and Kelly Dinneen. They mow grass, pump gas, plow snow, answer the phone, engage local politicos and all the other things an FBO has to do.

Every day, people pull up in the grassy area near our plane. Some of them chat with us through the fence, others just sit in their car and watch airplanes take off and land. One thing's for sure though, you can tell they enjoy being at the airport.

Bill and Diana Dillon's house is in the background. It's the light brown one just at the end of the airport driveway.

Joanne and I are lucky to have Bill and Diana as airport neighbors. Bill loves flying and always drops by for a "Hi, how are ya" and he's also gone for a ride with me in the FlightStar.
