28-Mar-99 Photoshop frustration

. .
.
For a while I was thinking that Photoshop actions were the solution to my catalog problems. I had 37 (that's the prime number most likely to be used for exaggerations, but in this case it's the actual count) stamp images to convert to GIFs for the catalog web page, but my Photoshop macros weren't up to the task. I got part of the way with them, but at one point had a file which wouldn't let me open the directory it was in and at another point found that I had resized the images to four times their proper size -- not acceptable if the customer expects to get what shows up on the screen.

In between I carved an eraser stamp for Kinga's English-Hungarian Artists' Dictionary snailmail art swap.

Arlene has been busy getting the house ready for Passover. The goal is to get all the traces of leavened bread, and, in fact, anything made of grain, other than matzo, out of the house or at least out of the way. That implies a thorough cleaning of the kitchen, self-cleaning the oven, cleaning out the toaster oven, dusting everything, and washing the floor. Today my main contribution was to finish a box of ginger snaps, but the oven and floor will be left for last and will be my jobs.
