The inscription is more like a letter, to unknown addressees ("Ihnen Beiden"), reporting on her pleasure in reading some recollections they have apparently sent her. Dated 26.8 but no year. I believe the offprint is from: Für Rudolf Hirsch: zum 70. Geburtstag am 22. Dezember 1975 (S. Fischer, 1975).

No date of publication or indication of printing in this volume. Across from the title page are listed the first 12 volumes of the series: one published each month. Advertisements in the rear for books by Keyserling also correspond to the year 1908. As the 11.-15. Tausend appeared in 1909, advertisments for that year might be expected of a later printing. First published in 1913. Recalled in the literary histories as a love story in the manner of Hamsun, but without great depth; Kellermann's second highly successful "lyrical novel", "Trivialimpressionismus" (Zmegac, II, 377). Kellermann was a critic of Wilhelmine cultural controls, was dismissed from the Academy in 1933, but found favor in the DDR. Remembered as an example of how far criticism and utopian fiction ("Der Tunnel") can go without causing a real stir.
