Arnold G. Reinhold's Home Page

Welcome. This page points you to to several of my interests, including Temple Beth Shalom, APUA, the HaYom Hebrew Calendar, papers by me on various topics including breastfeeding economics and cryptography, the Math in the Movies page, history of early computers (I go way back!), and books I've coauthored. I contribute to Wikipedia from time to time under the user name ArnoldReinhold.

Please select one of the following topics:

Temple Beth Shalom of Cambridge A warm, friendly, traditional synagogue in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Stop by if you're in town.

Alliance for the Prudent Use of Antibiotics They will tell you how to preserve one of humanity's most potent weapons against disease.

HaYom Hebrew Calendar for Macintosh and Windows An application I wrote and market that helps you with the intricacies of the Hebrew calendar. Put a little yiddishkeit into every day.

Diceware Passphrase Home Page If you need to make up a passphrase for PGP, CipherSaber or other encryption programs, this page will tell you how.

Fight Crypto Bans with CipherSaber! Major governments of the world have agreed to limit the export of computer programs that encode messages in a way they cannot break. Learn to make your own strong encryption program. It's easy! We'll tell you how.

Arnold Reinhold's Papers The Internet is the ultimate vanity press. This page includes stuff you might find interesting that I have written on cryptography, early computing, immunology, space exploration, mathematics, and childcare. It also points to books I have co-authored. Also see my page at Researchgate for a more up-to-date list.

Math In the Movies A guide to major motion pictures with scenes of real mathematics. "*** Totally delightful" Excite Reviews and Movie Guide

Arnold's Computer History Collection The early history of computers is in danger of being lost as obsolete equipment is scrapped, old files are discarded and computing pioneers submit their last jobs at the great machine room in the sky. The information presented here is based mainly on my personal recollections and on original material that I own. I hope to add more when I have time. There is a lot to tell. I have also been editing Wikipedia articles on computer history and uploading historic photos.

Thanks for stopping by!
