In the draft:
Pound thought Eliot had gone too far with the last two lines and Eliot removed them at his proding. Note though that while Eliot removed other lines outright from the poem (even destroying rhyming patterns), here he left a remnant of the old lines in the form of the ellipses (...) which were not there in the draft.
