Web Journey
There are two on-going assignments in this class, and they are actually
very connected. It is unlikely that you will do well on either one without
the other!
Participation (10%) Evaluated Continuously
This part of the evaluation will consider your cumulative attendance,
your timely arrival, departure, return from breaks and lunch, your attentiveness
during class discussions and presentations, and your on task behavior during
class work time.
Web Journey (10%) Due End of Each Weekend
You will be responsible for maintaining a single cumulative practice
page for use in class activities. Throughout each weekend you will be expected
to elaborate this single page based on your experiences using HTML. It
will serve as:
-
An on-line journal that will record your experiences in this class.
-
Evidence of each of the exercises that you complete.
-
An HTML "sandbox" in which you will practice and experiment with each new
technique.
-
A set of examples of each task for your future examination and use.
-
A place to record comments on problems or questions you encounter for communication
with your instructor.
-
A place to record URLs for sites that you would like to visit again or
tips or techniques you want to remember.
Be sure you remember to try to use only one page as much as possible!
Here is a brief list of some things you will practice in your Web Journey:
-
Hello Information (Name, Email etc.)
-
Basic Page Tags HTML HEAD TITLE BODY
-
Background Colors and Images
-
Bold, Italic, Headings
-
Spaces, Returns, Paragraphs and HR
-
