August 1, 2003 - In the March 15, 2003 issue of the Journal of Clinical Investigation, there is an article about possibly finding stem cells in bone marrow. Not only are there stem cells, but they might be pancreatic stem cells, which could allow insulin to be secreted. Click here to see the article online.

But, the FDA strengthened warnings on Avandia and Actos after studies show patients taking this drug may retain fluid which could lead to congestive heart failure. See the bad news.
