This was a an excellent summary of the SLE strand. I wish I'd thought to
do this, and I will in the future for a topic that attracts me. If every
time a thread developed, someone did a summmary like this one, the l-o
list would be greatly enhanced!

summary whenever you feel a discussion thread has gotten to that point.
Maybe we should adopt a convention to distinguish the summaries... Maybe
put " -summary" at the end of the subject line. Peter and Trudy
Johnson-Lenz call these "Harvests" and I'd love to see them here on LO.
