This discussion seems to be wandering about a bit at the moment - are we
all holding back our true deep felt opinions? Let me offer another avenue
to wonder down.

In my search for learning I cannot exclude the opinions, views, knowledge
and experience of others. I try to take in a many different sources as
possible - without necessarily adopting any of them.

Whilst we may all believe that the White Supremacists are talking shit - I
certainly do - it is still valuable to listen to them because through this
learning we are able to understand and develop strong arguments and
actions against them,

If the concern is about whether we should let material like this be
distributed in schools it seems to me that the problem here is that we are
not teaching our children to have the same ability to learn openly. This
has implications not just on the circulation of fascist ravings but also
on societies ability to learn, accept new ideas and change in general.

Modern approaches to teaching seem to me to encourage people to pull the
lid shut on the box instead of climbing out to explore.

Yours

Matthew
