Request for input: Knowledge Management - Organizational Learning

We, at the department of personnel management and leadership studies at
the Technical University of Chemnitz, would like to ask you for
cooperation. Currently, we work on a study examining tools and methods of
organizational learning.

The major goals of this project are:

- the identification and categorization of tools / methods which foster
organizational learning and thereby systematically can be used as a
vehicle of knowledge management - a description of selected tools /
methods which seem to be most relevant for effective knowledge management
and practical applications - the identification of adequate measurement
and monitoring criteria which support effective knowledge management - the
identification and description of experiences / case studies related to
the selected tools

We have the following questions for the subscribers of this list:

- Who is using the tools (please see below)?
- What kind of experiences do you want to share?
- How is the implementation process monitored?
- How do the applications of OL-tools contribute to the achievement of
company / department aims and business success?

We appreciate every input of you, but we also want to make clear that we
are very heavily are informed on ,classical" literature, e.g. Senge's
Fieldbook, Pedler's Learning Company books or on the common WWW-stuff (if
of interest we want to share our bookmark-list on organizational
learning/knowledge management, which actually has more than 100 entries).

Hence, we are interested in an in-depth description/discussion of
experiences which go beyond the literature outlined above.

Tools/methods/diagnosis of interest:

Detailed experiences with tools, which are described in the Fieldbook
etc. Learning Histories Open Space Technology Strategic controlling
organizational networks management of innovation self managing teams
Personal Development Plans action learning Task forces
Environmental Scanning
Behavioral Anchored Rating Scales
Learning Climate Questionnaire
Learning Contracts
Learning Blockages Questionnaire
fishbowl
Real Time Strategic Change Conference
Future Conference
ERPS (Electronic Performance Support System)

We would also appreciate contributions regarding other tools and your
experiences with their implementation. Of course we will publish the
results of our project and want to share them with you concurrently. We
thank you for your comments, hints and recommendations.

We'd be happy to hear from you soon.
