Ben asked in LO12363 about quotes and sources.
I personally like Tom Peters quotes.
One Peters' quote I really like is:
"If we're not getting more better faster than they
are getting more better faster,
than we are getting less better or more worse."
I use it to talk about the fact that progress is relative. And I
illustrate it with a Square Wheels wagon being pushed and pulled in a Rat
Cage (like mice going round and round). Sometimes they can feel like they
are going uphill and other times delude themselves by going faster
downhill -- but progress is relative to the forward movement (or backward
movement) of the axis.
And Lon said:
>Billy Joel observed, "You may be right, I may be crazy...
>but it just might be a lunatic you're looking for."
Billy also said:
"Some people stay away from the door for the chance of it opening up."
Innocent Man album, lead song
And then The Eagles said it even better,
"Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy!"
Take It Easy
Heck. The Peters' thing is just a quote and it's chicken dung to bite
somebody for using a quote, methinks. No fowl intended.
