Replying to LO11721 --

I read the last posting and had to comment. Because of my values, I
really don't have a choice.

Sherri asked:

> Why is it so diffcult for us to deal heart-to-heart?

to which Joe replied

>Because that requires trust, a rare commodity.

Trust is an ingredient. But trust of whom... the others on the list. Or
trust in yourself. I think people can only deal heart-to-heart when they
have high self-esteem and trust in their own values, abilities, and
self-worth.

Sherri then asks:

> Why do we become so threatened when the human soul bares itself?

There is no many people ready to shoot down others dreams, to shatter
someone else's thoughts and beleifs, to impose their own on other people.

A comic here called "ROSE is Rose" was great yesterday. It pictures a
guardian angel examining the contents of a young boy's soul. It pictures
a small comfortable bubble with the a chair and the thought
"His present dreamship is adequate for now"
The next picture shows the space shuttle and the thought
"Later, his more powerful upgrades will be needed to get past
the antidreamcraft fire from naysayers!"

Some people never get those powerful upgrades to get the past the
naysayers. Whenever the bare their souls, they get hurt.
