Martine, Your message interested me. I am a professor/consultant in the
U.S. I developed an assessment tool that measures group development and
effectiveness. It correlates very well with productivity in industrial
work groups. It also provides groups with specific information about what
to do in order to improve effectiveness and productivity. Currently, the
tool (Group development Questionnaire) is available in English, Spanish,
and Japanese.

About two years ago, we began doing research to see if the GDQ would work
with school faculty groups. What we found out is that faculty group scores
on the GDQ correlate with outcomes for kids. That is, the better the
members of the faculty work with each other, the better the educational
outcomes for kids. (e. g., better grades, scores on standardized tests,
better attendance, less suspensions and the like).

Your message interested me since the GDQ may be translated into Dutch. GE
in Belgium is interested in sponsoring the research necessary for the
translation. Should this come to pass, there might be some way to expand
the research to include school faculties. What do you think?
