The University of New England in Armidale Australia is now offering a full
and part time phd (research only) program that focuses on environmental
management and policy set within a learning organisation perspective. The
program is coordinated by the New England Ecological Economics Group, a
recent 'transdisciplinary' research group that has attracted some very
prestigious Australian Research Council and Industry support of late. All
our research projects share a common theme to develop environmental policy
consistent with the ideals of LO thinking. All projects are orientated to
community participative policy development and implementation. All take a
very lateral look at institutional arrangements and structures.

We are involved in phd research and related professional short course
training activities. If anyone is interested in phd studies in the
LO/environmental management and policy field , please contact me for more
information. Enrolments can be internal or external; part time or full
time. External phd researchers can work from anywhere in the world. We
can assist with scholarships (particularly from 'developing' countries).

Some details about our program are provided on our internet web pages.

[Host's Note: this is a surprise to me... We usually think of "New
England" as being a little to the North-East of New York! Good to hear
form your, Roderic. ... Rick]
