I am a business consultant who had had a great deal of interest in culture
change, influence, how we create our lives, beliefs, media etc. her whole
life. First in anthropology studies, then in broadcasting studies,
Neuro-Linguistic Programming and now the study of learning organizations.
This circuitous route somehow brought me from marketing and
promotion(influence) into business consulting where I have been advising
small companies on how to restructure to succeed. The worst problem that
I confront is the resistance to change. I see how their beliefs block
their progress and decided that if I am to stay in consulting that this
area is where I really belong.

As an NLP practitioner, I understand how beliefs, especially core ones
that are taught when we are very young, focus our understanding and
subsequent choices in life. To change directions and make new choices, we
must challenges these beliefs and take on new ones that broaden our
horizon.

Because of my multi-disciplinary background, I have begun to work on a
program that addresses change without upsetting the apple cart. I use the
metaphor of the theater as a structure to create a fantasy environment
where there is permission to drop "real" beliefs and try on new ones, just
like new roles or characters.

This idea is so revolutionary and I am so unknown, I am feeling rather
frustrated in its development. I know how important it could be. I want
to learn more of what is going on in the world regarding ways to shift
organizations and I also am looking to align myself with an organization
that I might fit into while it develops.

I am very happy to be a part of this group and look forward to learning
and contributing.
