Rol,

You make a great point about tying insecurity to creativity. A company
would do well to constantly offer "safety nets" for the employees to fall
back on as they are striving to walk across the tightrope of newness,
whatever the subject matter. If it helps the employees, it benefits the
company. Downsizing is the exact opposite, but is done for one
reason...because the company is not a human being. "IT" is devoid of
feelings, so the welfare of membership means little as opposed to the
larger gain in the quarterly return on investment. Assets over brainpower.
