Yogesh gave a wonderful list of articles referencing your question
(LO10489) which I look forward to reviewing. (Thank you Yogesh!)

As someone who tries to help teams think and learn effectively together, I
find myself frustrated that executive teams in particular feel a great
deal of pressure to stay focused in their weekly or monthly meetings on
urgent business. It can be difficult for them to preserve the space to
have good, open dialogue (strategic or generative) on the important
questions and ideas that drive their business.

I look with hope to Intranets (and Lotus Notes) to offer another way to
feed that dialogue process by creating a virtual space to add ideas, new
data and questions that might stimulate richer in-person conversations.
Lotus' new team learning spaces seem to be quite open and unlikely to
result in the "straightjacketing" to which Yogesh referred.

I'd be interested in others thoughts on (and experience with) this.
