As far as I recall, Rol did not say "pushing on the system" but as
Dale brings up the interpretation - and it seems common enough to
address - I suggest that any idea related to "pushing" is likely to
be far less effective than "attracting".

Biology and physics suggest that attraction is a far more powerful
force than pushing.
