Ok, it was I who mentioned an IQ of 120. . .as an example, not as any
type of concrete standard. I believe the average IQ for a medical
student is around 118, so to say that one needs an IQ of 120 to
participate in an LO is clearly ludicrous.

I think an LO can be built regardless of the intelligence of the
individuals who comprise the organization. The issue, here, in my
mind, is one of speed. The higher the IQ the faster people will learn
(both individually and collectively).

As I work in a fast paced industry where what you learn today will be
outdated in less than two years, the speed at which people learn is
absolutely critical. We simply can't be competitive if we can't learn
as faster, if not faster, than our competitiors.
