I have worked with a number of methods for discerning various
personality types including the MBTI. Most (MBTI being the most
obvious exception) will caveat that everyone has a little of each
"type" in them. The real question is which set of characteristics do
you display at any given time.
Studying and using such systems is helpful as a TOOL, but I haver found
that over-reliance on such artificial distinctions can lead to some
potentially serious problems within organizations. Everyone has to be
seen as an individual.
