Gary asks, "It's the ideal organization. How many people are working with
one?"

I am working with one that is struggling mightily to integrate the process view
of work with the functional view. It is a caring, customer-driven, bottom-line
oriented, achieving organization. Don't know if it is high-performing. It is
not a LO, but it may become one. It's a lot of fun to work for. However, I
know others who do not share this view. It is not the _ideal_ company, but
those who have left in general have regretted it. Having worked in many other
environments myself, this one is right up there.

Even within this organization, however, there are areas that are less than
ideal. This is driven in part by local management. I cannot really decide
what, if any, are the other causes. It is probably pretty normal, that some
parts of even the best organizations are more or less as good as other parts.
