I agree, although I tend to say 'thinking' rather than philosophy, as in
'if you're not thinking about why, then you'll be in trouble', or
whatever... IMHO we need more philosophy and thinking at work and about
work, not less...

Absolutely: autopoeisis tells us that we have an unbroken , developing
'rolling' sense of self that incorporates change whilst maintaining our
identity. In a very real sense we CAN'T notice the small shifts...

BTW, IMO, that's why it's very difficult get 'graduates' of designed
learning experiences [my preferred term for what you could call 'training'
] to express fully how it has benefitted them when you ask for feedback /
evaluation...
