Creating Better Student Assessments LO8890

I contacted the list this morning regarding the Deming Philosophy of
Education where I suggested some sources of information relating to the
thread on setting goals and holding the education community accountable
through various assessment and accountability models.

It appears to me that members of our list don't have at their disposal
much information on the current status of the standards movement in the
US. The US Department of Education maintains an excellent list serv on
many topics of interest to educators of all kinds. Here is an example,
fresh off the wire.
