Replying to LO8780 --

I think the original request for films reflecting "management theory". I
think like so many other posts it requires a bit of clarification in
regards to definition of "management theory". I feel there are many, many
examples of films dealing with aspects of management theory(ies). Among
them I would offer:

Uncle Tom's Cabin - assumed values
War & Peace - complexity to chaos
Death of a Salesman - corporate vs. human behaviors
Apocalypse Now - "quality team" participation
The Godfather - stability maintenance
Ten Commandments - differing management styles
Spartacus - group dynamics vs. corporate planning
Grapes of Wrath - impact of marketing
Wizard of Oz - value of individual contributions
On the Waterfront - ability of people to make positive changes
The Centennial Olympics - poor example of LO (men's "dream team" USA)
Forgive me, I cheated on the interpretation of "film", as I used "tape".

Of course, there are many, many other domestic and foreign films which
exemplify the good, the bad, or the ugly sides (are there only three?) of
management theory. I found it to be an interesting question, one which
shifted my attention a bit. As films is essentially script it allows a
diffent interpretation of what might have been in another form originally,
whether a book or papyrus document, yet whose essence did not change over
time. As another post mentioned, "...there is nothing new under the sun".
