I'm a management trainer at the Police Staff College, Bramshill,
Hampshire. We're in the business of management development of senior UK
and international police officers. A most discerning client group!! My
main interests are in Personal Construct Psychology; the learning org;
organization cultures; etc. Schein and Argyris are great resources for me
so you can see the areas I'm into. I'm also licensed for MBTI and FIRO
psychometric instruments.
Now for the request for help. I'm giving a conference in Holland for
international police officers in October on the learning org and one focus
is on Senge's mental models aspect of the 5 disciplines. Does anyone have
any ideas of short exercises etc. which are effective in illustrating
Senge's message. The one in his fieldbook on 'multiple perspectives'
(p.273) looks good, but any others would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Paul Dennison
