Could it be that the results of not having a well-trained pilot are more
immediate and clearly severe than a poorly trained student? While both
worst cast scenarios are things we would like to avoid, most folks focus
on the short term. It may take 15-20 years for the effects of a lousy
educational system to be felt. Trainers and managers see it when they hit
the workforce.
