I would agree that commitment is a major factor in creating systemic
changes. I would add mental models. Mental models have been a major
block to creating conditions for commitment. If the leader has not taken
the trouble to create a sense of belonging/intimacy, members do not feel
safe. In these situations, a dialogue becomes impossible to create common
ground, when differing mental models exist in the same work group. Though
the attempt was not about creating learning oganisations, I was trying to
attend to some of the concepts in our own experience during a change
attempt. Regards.
