Intellectual Capital LO8086

I have found that those who are intrigued with the concept of Intellectual
Capital are usually invested to some degree in building competency-based
management strategies - a growing focus for those who are working to
transform the "training" function to more of an integrated
learning/development base, with a clear connection to business outcomes.
The principles of the LO can easily be built into the construct of
competency models (learning as a core org. competency) - and integrate
nicely into continuing strategies for building Intellectual Capital. It
may be my view of the world right now, but I think this strategy focus
will be with us for awhile - it gives substance and form to the old addage
"human resources are our best competitive advantage......" and is also
being driven to some degree by HR requirements for Baldrige and ISO
qualification.
