Replying to LO7962 --

I will off the list for a few weeks. Between a Summer break and a two and
half weeks teaching tour in Venezuela will take me away from this great
group for about five weeks.

Before I sign off (I will probably read my messages until tomorrow
morning), I want to share with the group that I don't think that consensus
is a real tool (some people see it as a end). I believe that it is more
of a myth, at least in our society in the U.S. and in most western
thinking countries. There is no way for us to achieve true consensus and,
if we did, it is almost impossible to sustain it for any extended period
of time.

The decision making process true integretation (which I call consensus by
integration), is a more "real" tool. When we put efforts to integrate
inputs into the decision making process, then we can really work in a more
unified direction.
