Annual Conference
July 11-13, 1996
Burlington, Vermont

Leadership In A Changing World is the theme of the 1996 ALE
Conference. Motivating, inspiring, educational and
challenging are words which describe ALE Conferences.

The program will feature outstanding keynote speakers.
Participants will have an opportunity to learn about
leadership from "Ben & Jerry's", a very successful management
team. Other speakers will address:

- Leadership Challenges in the Changing Corporate World
- Changes in Technology and It's Impact on Leadership Development
- Leadership In Higher Education
- Leadership Education in Rural Communities.

- Curriculum development for leadership education
- Community leadership programs
- Empowerment
- Youth leadership development
- Successful leadership courses in higher education
- Assessment of leadership programs; and many other topics
will be addressed in concurrent sessions.

The networking opportunities abound from the many papers and
workshops which are presented. Small groups sharing and
discussing challenges and successes of leadership education is
the featured outcome of concurrent sessions.

Burlington is serviced by an International Airport. It is
accessible by automobile via I-89 and is 1 hour south of
Montreal or 4 hours North of Boston. To aid in travel
arrangements, the program will begin at 1:30 pm on July 11 and
end at noon on July 13.

Attendees have the opportunity to exhibit programs, notebooks,
curriculum materials and other resources which have
successfully supported leadership education.
