We are two Dutch post-graduate students, specializing in Service Management
at the Service Research Center (CTF) of the H=F6gskolan i Karlstad, Sweden.

We currently started our final MBA thesis, for which we formulated the
following research question:

How can organizational design be adjusted to facilitate organizational
learning?

We will carry out a case study at Unisource, an organization founded by
four national European telecom companies which aims at providing
pan-European telecom services. One of the shareholders, Telia Sweden, has
recently been reorganized to a more customer oriented structure with use
of the learning organization principles. Since Unisource is depending on
Telia both as a shareholder and as a service provider, Unisource is likely
to be influenced by this restructuring. We will analyze this influence as
well as the possibilities for Unisource to adjust the organizational
design to facilitate organizational learning.

Unfortunately, we have not come across much literature on organizational
learning in SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS yet. We are very interested in
comparable case studies and literature on this particular subject. We
would be very pleased if you could provide us with suggestions to gather
this information.

We sincerely hope that you find our project of interest, and we look
forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,

Elco L. M. Vieberink
