Here is a quote chosen because of its relevance to folks dedicated to
making whole system changes. Allan Savory wrote the book _Holistic
Resource Management_ (from which this quote is taken), and focuses on the
importance of understanding ecological and natural processes as the basis
for land management policies. (Just as we should understand emergent
phenomenon in organizations and people before devising organizational
management policies.)

Enjoy!

"None of the various government systems human have so far devised has
enabled us to deal with the complexity of nature. Most of the problems we
face today in every field are of our own making because the
interconnectedness of mankind, our planet, and its resources is not taken
seriously or even believed fundamentally."
- Allan Savory
