Responding to something that Steven Cabana said in LO5477

> What does someone invested with authority do in turbulent environments to

One of the actions was

> They allow threats to be felt in order to generate motivation to deal with it
> early.

Yesterday and today I was thinking about how one of Dr. Deming's 14 Points
for Management - "drive out fear" - would actually work in a real
environment. For those who admire his view of management, preserving a
place for fear might seem inappropriate; however, sometimes fear can be a
help.

In fight or flight fear stirs us with strength.
When erring and caught, it stirs us to think.
When wandering in mind and restless in soul,
the fear of its loss helps us hold to the goal.

Just because it's a poem doesn't mean you can't disagree :)
