Hello, my name is John Mosman and I joined this list today. Recently I
joined a Fifth Discipline study group. MAQIN (Madison Area Quality
Improvement Network) is sponsering the group. We have been hard at it for
three sessions to date. During a discussion at work with one of our
warehouse teams, I drew a reinforcing circle on a white board in my office
concerning a probelm. After looking at it all day, discussing it with
several key people, a stunning, yet simple solution presented itself. I
was very excitied about it.
Anyway, I am an operations manager with a natural foods distributor. We
are in the midst of a transition to self-directed work teams. The
operation is small (under $25 million in sales, about 105 employees).
Previously I was with the Sara Lee Corporation for twenty years in various
management positions.
Having this list pointed out to me is great. I hope to learn and
contribute.
