They don't see, and have no understanding of the difference it makes in
the long run. If you don't read your messages every morning, will it make
a difference today, or tomorrow - no! But the compounded effect over time
of reading those messages every morning will take you and your career to
new heights. That's what your friends haven't yet grasped. The future
benefits for what we do today.

I'd change that slightly, The reality is the janitor may have a modem,
(for games...) but doesn't want to get in!
