Hi, I just thought I'd let you know that I and a colleague have been
collecting data in a number of schools. While the study is not completed
yet, the results show a clear correlation between the effectiveness and
maturation level of the faculty as a group and every outcome measure we
could get. The study is being conducted in elementary, middle, and high
schools. In schools where the faculty group works effectively together,
student outcomes (% passing english, math, social studies, attendance) are
much better. Also, number of violent incidents and suspensions are much
lower.

Those of us who know about team work could help educational systems
through the provision of consultation and training to faculty groups.
