Replying to LO4617 --

Ray Harrell ends a posting in which he talks about a paint company
exploiting its workers by writing,

"I would rather suggest that you find a way to live within the "system" of
your company as conceived by ALL of the minds at your work. As you
evolve, struggle and communicate with your colleagues, find a way to enjoy
it and create the company together."

Ray, this seems like collusion on the part of the workers. I suggest that
if people would recognize their interdependence and stop accepting
employment with these companies, the situation would change overnight.
One of the key elements in this collusive system is that company's can in
general find someone to do the job if someone else refuses. However, if
everyone took a stand and said "No mas" even the least enlughtened manager
of them all would get the message.

So I have a question for you. Is this the advice you would give to the
folks at the paint factory? From the early part of your posting it
doesn't seem so. Am I missing the connection?

I suggest to my children in this type of situation to find another
employer or start their own business. Life is too short and too precious
to waste in someone else's hell hole.

Yep, this particular topic allows me to choose to get myself all worked
up.

Later.
