Let's celebrate the holiday season by sharing our favorite holiday
learning stories.
I'll start --
Way long ago when our daughter was pretty young, that age that's so rich
in discoveries, I remember one vividly at Christmas.
The previous spring, at Easter, the Easter Bunny of course paid a visit.
Our little girl was just barely reading, so we created a "note" from the
EB, thanking for the milk and cookies. We thought she would recognize
either of our handwriting, so I laboriously wrote in a funny hand.
Half a year later, it was time for Santa's visit, more milk and cookies,
and another note, funny hand again. I remember her great joy in discovery,
"Wait a minute... If Santa and the Easter Bunny have the same handwriting,
then they must be YOU!"
