Chapter 14 compares the Japanese 7-M's with Interactive Management on five
criteria in considerable detail. In the same chapter, it is shown in
detail that Quality Function Deployment, brought to the US from Japan, and
promoted by MIT (USA) was actually invented and published in IEEE
Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics in 1972 by Doug Hill and
myself, along with an application to the design of VSTOL aircraft.
